The servo can be "adjusted" by either using a longer servo pin or adding transgo "shims" that come with their kits. If you drive like a jacka$$ or tow with it I would also try to utilize the corvette servo it will make the band and the 3-4 clutch last longer. I dont know how you drive or if you ever tow with it but if you drive it fairly "normal" and dont tow then the stock servo piston is probably fine. If I was playing with the parts you have I would use the "stiffer red" spring all by itself spring in first then the piston and tighten up the clearances on the servo and you will most likely be happy with it. I assume that there are multiple ways to address this issue but this is what I have found to work well and Im sure someone else will have other ideas to add. If you are really concerned with not making it shift too crisp try it witout the corvette servo. I assume it was because of different calibrations in the v/b and seperator plate.

On rare occasions the corvette servo has made them shift crisper than I desired and I am not sure why. I have done this on lots of transmissions and it has worked very well for me. Doing all of this will tighten up both the 1-2 and the 2-3 shift but it shouldnt make it at all harsh unless there is other issues elsewhere. If you tow anything with it I would put a corvette servo in it too. What I do is replace the accumulator piston with an aftermarket one and use the accumulator springs from an older 700r4 shift kit then I "adjust" the servo so that it has between 1/16"-1/8" (closer to 1/16" the better) of travel inward before it stops moving with light to moderate pressure (assuming everything is clean ad moving freely). In my experience the problem is a combination of the 1-2 accumulator and the servo needing to be "adjusted" for lack of a better word.
